本发明涉及防护涂层领域，具体涉及一种具有细柱状晶结构的Cr基防护涂层、其制备方法及应用。本发明通过设计CrXM组分(X＝Al/Si，M＝Y/Ce/La/Nd，0≤a≤10，0.1≤b≤8.5)，通过控制真空度、基体温度并采用中频与射频电源协同溅射，获得柱状晶宽度5‑100nm的结构，晶界处弥散分布1‑50nm的M和/或M氧化物纳米颗粒。该结构致密无空隙，兼具优良抗辐照性、耐高温氧化性和结构完整性，适用于核燃料包壳管防护。
