Discussed is a pairing apparatus that can include a communication unit configured to receive battery information for a plurality of batteries; an index value determining unit configured to determine an index value for a plurality of performance indexes preset for each of the plurality of batteries, based on the battery information to provide a plurality of index values; and a battery determining unit configured to compare the plurality of index values determined for the plurality of batteries and pair corresponding batteries among the plurality of batteries according to a comparison result of the plurality of index values.
