A brake control device reliably decelerates and stops a vehicle at the time of failure of the brake control device, having a simplified system configuration and high reliability for automated driving. A brake device of the present invention includes a first unit, a second unit, and a connection pipe, where the first fluid pressure unit includes a first cutoff valve, a first pressure regulation unit, and a first control unit, and the second fluid pressure unit includes a second cutoff valve, a second pressure regulation unit, and a second control unit. The brake device further includes a third pressure regulation unit and a fourth pressure regulation unit that regulate brake fluid pressures supplied from the first pressure regulation unit and the second pressure regulation unitto the plurality of first wheel cylinders and the plurality of second wheel cylinders respectively, and third control units that control these units.
