The present disclosure relates to the technical field of communications. Provided are a carrier switching method and apparatus, a switching configuration method and apparatus, and a terminal device and a network device. The carrier switching method comprises, when the number of switching bands is greater than 2 and an antenna port configuration for a first carrier to be subjected to data transmission is a first antenna port configuration, determining a target switching case of the first antenna port configuration for the first carrier on the basis of first information, wherein the first antenna port configuration indicates one port; and executing carrier switching according to the target switching case, wherein the first information comprises, a set of relationships between the first carrier and antenna port configurations, or first switching indication information.
