Embodiments provide a light emitting element and an electronic device that includes the light emitting element. The light emitting element includes a first electrode, a hole transport region disposed on the first electrode, a light emitting layer disposed on the hole transport region, an electron transport region disposed on the light emitting layer, a second electrode disposed on the electron transport region, and an auxiliary layer disposed between at least one of the hole transport region and the light emitting layer or the light emitting layer and the electron transport region.
