A compound is provided that have a Formula Ir(L)(L)(L), where x and y are each independently 1 or 2, z is 0 or 1, and x+y+z=3; the first ligand Lincludes a structure of Formula I, Lincludes a structure of Formula II, and Lis a bidentate ligand. In these structures, each of moiety A, C, and D is a monocyclic ring or a polycyclic fused ring system; each of X-Xand Z-Zis C or N; Yis a linking group; Z is Si or Ge; and each substituent is hydrogen or a General Substituent defined herein. Formulations, OLEDs, and consumer products containing the compound are also provided. Further provided is a method of preparing a compound of formula M′(L)(L)(L)as defined herein.
