A method detects a yaw instability in a vehicle combination. The vehicle combination has a tractor unit and at least one trailing unit. The method includes determining a current value of a sideslip angle parameter of at least one unit of the vehicle combination, comparing the current value of the sideslip angle parameter to a threshold, and if the current value of the sideslip angle parameter is beyond the threshold, determining that a yaw instability is present in the vehicle combination.

The dynamic vibration absorber has an air tank, an elastic member comprising a first spring member, and a gripping device attached to the elastic member and configured to grip the air tank. The gripping device has a first gripping member having a first gripping space to embrace at least a portion of the air tank. The first gripping member is configured such that when the at least portion of the air tank is fitted to the first gripping space, a first gripping force is applied to the least portion of air tank.
