A monoaxially stretched, transparent film for a recyclable laminate for packaging. The film comprises at least one outer layer and at least one inner layer. The at least one outer layer has a higher density than the at least one inner layer. The outer layer comprises a mixture of at least two polyethylenes of different densities, wherein the higher density polyethylene in at least one of the outer layers has a density of more than 0.94 g/cmand the lower density polyethylene in at least one of the outer layers has a density of less than 0.94 g/cm.
