An image processing apparatus includes at least one memory storing programs, and at least one processor that executes the stored programs, which cause the at least one processor to perform control to acquire image data, perform control to receive, from a chat server which provides a chat service which a user who has logged in to the image processing apparatus uses, information corresponding to user information about the user, perform posting to a post destination of the chat service based on the information, and perform control to transmit the image data.
