HANDOVER METHOD AND APPARATUS

This application provides a handover method and an apparatus. The handover method is applied to a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal supports a synchronous dual band dual concurrent capability, and the mobile terminal has a first Wi-Fi path and a second Wi-Fi path. The handover method includes: The mobile terminal accesses a target AP through the first Wi-Fi path, and performs a Wi-Fi service through the first Wi-Fi path. If the first Wi-Fi path meets a preset handover condition, the mobile terminal performs Wi-Fi scanning on a surrounding candidate AP through the second Wi-Fi path in an idle state to obtain a first scanning result. The mobile terminal accesses, based on the first scanning result, the candidate AP through the second Wi-Fi path, and is handed over from performing the Wi-Fi service through the first Wi-Fi path to performing the Wi-Fi service through the second Wi-Fi path.
