The embodiment of the invention provides a light-emitting element, a display panel and a preparation method, and the light-emitting element comprises a first metal layer, a first semiconductor layer, a light-emitting layer, a second semiconductor layer, a buffer layer, an imprinting glue layer and a second metal layer which are sequentially stacked in the light-emitting direction. The first metal layer and the first semiconductor layer jointly form a polarization conversion unit, the polarization conversion unit comprises a plurality of first micro-nano structures, and the optical characteristics of the first micro-nano structures in a first preset direction and a second preset direction which are perpendicular to each other are different; the imprinting glue layer and the second metal layer jointly form a linear polarization unit, and the linear polarization unit comprises a plurality of second micro-nano structures; wherein the included angle between the first preset direction and the preset polarization direction of the linear polarization unit is 30-60 degrees. According to the technology of the invention, the polarization performance and the light-emitting efficiency of the light-emitting element are improved.
