The embodiment of the invention provides a thermal runaway risk detection method, a vehicle, equipment, a storage medium and a program product. The method comprises the steps that if the vehicle is powered off, a battery management system of the vehicle is awakened once every preset duration, the battery management system awakening intervals are different for the preset durations, and the preset durations are in positive correlation with the power-off duration of the vehicle; based on the battery management system, obtaining detection data of the battery in a detection duration corresponding to the power-off duration; wherein the detection duration is in negative correlation with the power-off duration; and determining a thermal runaway risk detection result of the battery according to the detection data, wherein the thermal runaway risk detection result is that a thermal runaway risk exists or does not exist. The method is used for achieving the effect of reducing the detection cost of the battery thermal runaway risk.
