The battery pack shell comprises a tray and n layers of cold plates, the tray comprises a first side beam and a second side beam which are opposite to each other, m steps are arranged on the opposite sides of the first side beam and the second side beam respectively, and m is larger than or equal to 3; the two opposite ends of the n layers of cold plates are arranged on the corresponding steps of the first side beam and the second side beam, each layer of cold plate corresponds to one step and is used for arranging one layer of battery cells, n is greater than or equal to 2 and less than or equal to m, and the m steps and the n layers of cold plates are counted from small to large from the bottom to the top of the first side beam; and in the direction from the first side beam to the second side beam, the size of the (n-1) th layer of cold plate is smaller than that of the nth layer of cold plate. By arranging the m steps and the n layers of cold plates for thermal management, the battery pack is reliable and stable in operation, compact in structure, small in size and easy in practical application.
