A battery diagnosis apparatus for diagnosis of a cell group including a plurality of battery cells connected in series, includes a voltage sensing circuit configured to periodically generate a voltage signal indicating a cell voltage of each battery cell, and a control circuit configured to generate time series data indicating a change in cell voltage of each battery cell over time based on the voltage signal. The control circuit is configured to (i) determine a first average cell voltage and a second average cell voltage of each battery cell based on the time series data, wherein the first average cell voltage is a short term moving average, and the second average cell voltage is a long term moving average, and (ii) detect an abnormal voltage of each battery cell based on a difference between the first average cell voltage and the second average cell voltage.

A negative electrode manufacturing device for lithium secondary battery that is capable of simultaneously performing crystal surface orientation and pre-drying of a carbon-based negative electrode active material at an edge end of a negative electrode slurry is provided. The negative electrode manufacturing device provides a drying part using light at an edge of a magnetic part that aligns the crystal surface of the carbon-based negative electrode active material. A negative electrode manufactured by the device has a high orientation of the crystal surface of the carbon-based negative electrode active material contained in a sliding region of the negative electrode active layer, and high uniformity of orientation between the sliding region and a flat region of the negative electrode active material.

A negative electrode for lithium secondary battery includes a negative electrode current collector, a first negative electrode active layer, and a second negative electrode active layer. The first negative electrode active layer is provided on at least one side of the negative electrode current collector and has a first carbon-based negative electrode active material. A manufacture of an electrode assembly in which first electrodes and second electrodes are alternately arranged between folded separators is described. The electrodes are stacked and stored in a magazine unit, and the plurality of electrodes are stored in a stacked manner. By disposing a stuck-electrodes prevention sheet between electrodes, the electrodes can be easily separated without sticking, and the stuck-electrodes prevention sheet removed after the electrodes are separated can be recycled.

A first battery cell unit of the battery cell units can include a first battery cell, a first cell bus bar configured to electrically connect a positive electrode of the first battery cell and a negative electrode of the first battery cell to the main power line, and a first switch connected to the first battery cell in parallel. A sensor unit of the battery pack can be configured to sense a condition of the battery cells A controller can be configured to close the first switch to disconnect the first cell bus bar upon identifying a failure of the first battery cell based on the condition of the first battery cell.

During a process of manufacturing a pouch case by forming a pouch film, an elongation rate can be measured by the color of an outer layer of the pouch film without separate sampling, and it can be determined whether or not elongation has occurred which causes a critical level in which a crack is about to occur or a defective level in which a crack is occurring. A method for manufacturing a pouch case of a secondary battery according to the present invention includes: stacking a metal layer above an inner layer and stacking an outer layer, which includes colored dye particles, above the metal layer, thereby producing a pouch film; forming the pouch film into a three-dimensional shape so that an electrode assembly is accommodated therein; and measuring an elongation rate of the pouch film through color of the outer layer.

A battery cell may include a contacting wall surface with an expanded inner diameter at an open end of a sidewall of a battery can of the battery cell. The cap covering the open end includes a press-fitted contacting surface portion in contact with the inner circumferential surface of the contacting wall surface portion, and an electrode connecting part connected to an electrode tab of an electrode assembly accommodated in the battery can. The press-fitting depth of the cap into the battery can is regulated by the electrode connecting part of the cap and the electrode tab of the electrode assembly. The contacting surface portion and the contacting wall surface portion are bonded and electrically connected by welding. A battery pack may include the battery cell, and a vehicle may include the battery pack.

A battery pack according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a plurality of battery cells stacked in one direction, a pack case that houses the battery cells in an inner space, a cell cover that at least partially surrounds at least a part of the plurality of battery cells in the inner space of the pack case, a busbar assembly that electrically connects the plurality of battery cells, a first sealing member mounted to the busbar assembly and a second sealing member mounted to the cell cover.

A battery module according to one embodiment of the present disclosure includes a battery cell stack including a first battery cell stack and a second battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked; and a center busbar assembly located between the first battery cell stack and the second battery cell stack. The first battery cell stack and the second battery cell stack are disposed along a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the battery cells in the first battery cell stack or the second battery cell stack are stacked. Any one battery cell included in the first battery cell stack and any one battery cell included in the second battery cell stack are electrically connected through a center busbar included in the center busbar assembly to form a double cell structure, and the battery cell stack includes at least one double cell structure.
