A hitch receiver mounting device for mounting a hitch receiver to a golf cart includes a golf cart that has a frame. A pair of mounting brackets is included which has a pair of first attachment elements and a pair of second attachment elements. Each of the first attachment elements on each of the pair of mounting brackets is attachable the frame of the golf cart. A hitch receiver is attachable to the plurality of second attachment elements in each of the pair of mounting brackets thereby retaining the hitch receiver on the frame of the golf cart.
