A gear shifting device for a transmission of a vehicle has a rod configured to be connected to an actuator for moving the rod along a longitudinal axis of the rod, and a set of shift forks comprising a first shift fork and a second shift fork, the first and second shift forks being fixed to the rod so as to be actuated in unison.
