The gateway equipment supports periodic broadcast with response, and does not need to establish connection with the electronic shelf labels one by one, so that the power consumption of the gateway equipment is reduced. Meanwhile, the electronic shelf label can be in a dormant state for a period of time and in an awakening state for a period of time instead of being in the awakening state for a long time, so that the power consumption of the electronic shelf label is reduced.
