The data processing method is applied to the low-power-consumption equipment and comprises the steps of obtaining to-be-transmitted data; at least two energy consumption parameters of the to-be-transmitted data are determined, one energy consumption parameter corresponds to energy consumption generated by transmission after compression of the to-be-transmitted data, and the other energy consumption parameter corresponds to energy consumption generated by non-compression transmission of the to-be-transmitted data; and according to the two energy consumption parameters, determining to carry out non-compression transmission on the to-be-transmitted data, or determining to carry out compression transmission on the to-be-transmitted data. According to the data processing method, the two energy consumption parameters are set to judge whether the to-be-transmitted data is compressed and transmitted or not, so that the optimal data sending mode can be adopted, and the power consumption in the whole sending and receiving process of the to-be-transmitted data is as low as possible.
