The shell and tube heat exchanger comprises a heat exchange tube, a first executing mechanism, a plurality of first blocking pieces, a second executing mechanism and a plurality of second blocking pieces. A heat exchange cavity is formed in the shell set, the multiple heat exchange pipes are arranged in the heat exchange cavity, and the two ends of each heat exchange pipe communicate with the first cavity and the second cavity correspondingly. The first executing mechanism is configured to adjust the position of at least one first blocking piece so that cavities with different functions can be formed in the first cavity, and the second executing mechanism is configured to adjust the position of at least one second blocking piece so that cavities with different functions can be formed in the second cavity. According to the shell and tube heat exchanger, the positions of the at least one first blocking piece and the at least one second blocking piece are adjusted through the first executing mechanism and the second executing mechanism correspondingly, so that chambers with different functions are formed in the first cavity and the second cavity, and therefore flow adjustment of water flow can be achieved.
