The panel support is an integrated piece and further comprises a panel rear shell portion exceeding the coverage range of the front panel, and the panel rear shell portion defines a local appearance face of the panel component so as to be connected between the front panel and a rear box component of the indoor unit of the air conditioner. According to the panel component for the indoor unit of the air conditioner disclosed by the embodiment of the invention, the diversified design of a shell of the indoor unit of the air conditioner can be favorably met under the condition that the structure is simple.
