The battery pack (200) comprises a tray (11), a battery module and a module shell, and the detection device (100) comprises a charging and discharging circuit (10) which is connected with detection points in the battery pack and used for generating voltage pulse signals so that parasitic capacitance between the detection points can be charged and discharged, and the detection points comprise the tray and the module shell; the sampling module (20) is connected with the charging and discharging circuit and is used for sampling the voltage in the charging and discharging circuit to generate a sampling voltage; and the processor (30) is respectively connected with the charging and discharging circuit and the sampling module and is used for controlling the charging and discharging circuit to generate a voltage pulse signal and determining the insulation state of the battery pack according to the sampling voltage output by the sampling module. Therefore, the electric leakage risk can be pre-judged before the battery pack actually has an insulation fault, and the use safety of the battery pack is improved.
