The method comprises the steps that when the air conditioner runs in a heating mode and meets the starting condition of a defrosting mode, an indoor fan of the air conditioner is controlled to run at a first rotating speed; when the operation of the indoor fan reaches a first preset condition, the air conditioner is controlled to start the defrosting mode, and the indoor fan is controlled to be reduced to the target rotating speed of the defrosting mode to operate; wherein the first rotating speed is larger than the target rotating speed, and the air conditioner is in a heating state in the defrosting mode. The invention aims to improve the comfort of indoor users in the defrosting process and reduce the operation noise of the air conditioner.
