The communication method comprises: a terminal device receiving beam coverage information of a network device from the network device, wherein the beam coverage information is used for determining an airspace coverage range of a plurality of beams; the terminal equipment determines a beam coverage range where the terminal equipment is located in the airspace coverage ranges of the multiple beams; and the terminal equipment executes wireless resource management measurement based on the beam coverage area. In this way, the terminal device obtains the beam coverage information from the network device, so that the beam airspace coverage range to which the terminal device belongs is determined according to the beam coverage information, and accurate wireless resource management measurement is achieved.
