An aerosol generating device according to the present disclosure includes: a body; a heater module structured to detachably couple with the body and the heater module is shaped to define a first insertion space and includes an end that is open; a heater coupled to the heater module; a memory coupled to the heater module and is configured to store information specifically associated with the heater; and a controller coupled to the body, and is configured to receive the information from the memory, and control an operation of the heater based on the information.
