The present disclosure relates to a display device for a vehicle. This display device for a vehicle according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: a display panel for outputting at least one item of content; a viewing angle adjustment panel comprising at least one liquid crystal layer composed of liquid crystals; and a control unit for changing a viewing angle with respect to the display panel through control of an arrangement of the liquid crystals, wherein the control unit may: determine a first limitation area of the display panel on the basis of a first condition related to driving of a vehicle; determine a second limitation area of the display panel on the basis of a second condition related to privacy; and control the arrangement of the liquid crystals so as to change viewing angles with respect to the first limitation area and the second limitation area.
