A method for providing communication services to a user equipment using an access network of or associated with a mobile communication network includes: in a first step, the user equipment receives a piece of coverage information, wherein the piece of coverage information corresponds to a part of the geographical area of the coverage information regarding the geographical area that is currently—dependent on the present and/or past movement of the user equipment—relevant for the user equipment; and in a second step, the user equipment determines an indication or an approximation of its current location, and the user equipment further determines a location-dependent set of connection parameters corresponding to the determined current location and to be used in order to get or to be provided with radio coverage.
