This disclosure relates to techniques for performing uplink port selection management in a wireless communication system. A sounding reference signal transmit power calculation method may be selected by a wireless device from multiple possible methods, potentially based on a number of uplink multiple input multiple output transmission layers configured for the wireless device. Sounding reference signal transmit powers for a first antenna port and a second antenna port may be determined using the selected sounding reference signal transmit power calculation method.
