The invention provides a communication method and a communication device, and the method comprises the steps: carrying out the cell selection of a terminal device when the terminal device detects a wireless connection failure; if the target cell belongs to the candidate cell pre-configured by the main MN, the terminal equipment performs access in the selected cell; and if the selected cell does not belong to the candidate cell and no auxiliary SCG failure is detected, the terminal equipment sends a main cell group MCG failure message to the MN through the SN so as to initiate an MCG rapid recovery process to perform wireless connection recovery, thereby avoiding RRC reconstruction.
