An object of the present invention is to provide a low molecular weight compound having an anti-ferroptosis activity and an ability to scavenge lipid peroxy radicals which is relatively highly safe when ingested, can be orally ingested, and can be manufactured at a relatively low cost. The present invention provides a ferroptosis inhibitor, an agent for preventing or treating a disease associated with ferroptosis, a lipid peroxy radical scavenger, or an agent for preventing or treating a disease caused by lipid peroxide accumulation and/or lipid peroxy radicals, comprising one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of compounds of the following formula (I) to formula (III):
