本发明属于镍氢电池技术领域，公开了一种低温镍氢电池用AB型储氢合金及其制备方法，储氢合金电极及镍氢电池。所述储氢合金的化学式通式为LaPrNdYSmMgNiAl，式中，y、z、a、b、u、v、w表示摩尔比，其数值范围为：0≤y≤0.10，0.05≤z≤0.15，0≤u≤0.05，0.30≤v≤0.47，0.10≤w≤0.20，3.25≤a≤3.5，0≤b≤0.25，3.25≤a+b≤3.75。采用本发明的储氢合金制成的储氢合金电极装配的镍氢电池在‑30℃低温放电效率和电池循环寿命皆得到显著提升。
