The present disclosure provides a display device including a display panel including a display area including an optical area in which at least one transmissive area and at least one light emitting area are defined, and a normal area located outside of the optical area and including a plurality of light emitting areas, a gate driving circuit configured to supply at least one gate signal to the display panel, a data driving circuit configured to convert image data into a data voltage and supplying the resulted data voltage to the display panel, and a display controller for controlling the gate driving circuit and the data driving circuit, the at least one transmissive area including an emission layer, a cohesive cathode layer disposed with a reference thickness at which self-aggregation occurs on the emission layer, and a capping layer disposed on the cohesive cathode layer.
