The invention discloses a gas-liquid separation structure for a battery. The gas-liquid separation structure comprises a shell and a liquid storage device, the shell is internally provided with a sealed cavity capable of being vacuumized, the sealed cavity can accommodate the battery, and the shell is provided with a vent hole communicated with the sealed cavity; the liquid storage device is arranged in the sealing cavity and is provided with a liquid storage cavity, and the liquid storage cavity is communicated with the sealing cavity; and the liquid storage cavity can also be communicated with a liquid injection port of the battery, so that when the vacuum degree in the sealed cavity reaches a set value, the liquid storage cavity is used for storing electrolyte pumped out of the battery. The gas-liquid separation structure provided by the invention is applied to a negative-pressure plug pin process of the battery, so that gas in the battery can be exhausted in a vacuumizing process, electrolyte in the battery is not exhausted, and the cycle performance of the battery is improved.
