The embodiment of the invention discloses a rollback method and a rollback device. The rollback method comprises the steps that after a first version program of a target application is successfully flashed to a double-partition system of a controller, the working state of the controller is detected; wherein the double-partition system comprises an active area and a non-active area; the first version program runs in the active area, and a second version program of the target application is stored in the inactive area; under the condition that the working state of the controller is abnormal, the controller is controlled to switch the activated area and the non-activated area based on the target area switching mode; wherein the target area switching mode is one of a service area switching mode and a message area switching mode; the service zone cutting mode is a zone cutting mode based on a unified diagnosis service; the message switching mode is a switching mode based on the communication message; and after successful switching, backing the target application from the first version program to the second version program.
