本发明涉及纳米材料及光子晶体材料领域，尤其涉及一种纳米粒子及其制备与自组装三维非密堆光子晶体应用，所述纳米粒子为表面修饰有电离酚羟基的胶体纳米粒子，所述纳米粒子能够在1 wt%‑60 wt%的浓度范围内自组装成三维非密堆光子晶体。本发明解决了目前三维非密堆胶体光子晶体难以在低浓度下实现自组装的问题。通过调整粒子在溶液中的质量分数，可以自组装形成具备丰富颜色的三维非密堆胶体光子晶体，并且在传感，显示等领域具有广泛的应用前景。
